A legacy beyond compare

Our story began in 1886, when Shaw Wallace started a business in Calcutta, as it was then known.The pioneering nature of the company truly came into being as it ventured into multiple businesses including importing cars in India for the first time as well as holding the distinction to be the first ever private firm to distribute fertilizers in India. SWAL Wallace realized the potential in agriculture and established Shaw Wallace Agrochemicals Limited in 1920. We have introduced many products and technologies that have revolutionized the crop protection and crop care segments. We have also expanded our presence across the country, reaching out to millions of farmers through our network of dealers and experts.

Over the years SWAL, with its consistent service, has rightfully become a beacon of trust and quality among the Indian agriculture community. In 2005, we became a subsidiary of UPL Ltd., a global leader in agro-solutions. This gave us access to the world-class manufacturing and R&D facilities that further improved the service levels of our vast trade network. In 2021, we rebranded ourselves as #TheAllNewSWAL, representative of our thrust for novelty and customer centricity.
